Polk & California [NE Corner] (April 28, 2012)

"Weekend Wildcard:  San Fran Edition"
Banks on corners aren't that cool. But this one sorta reminds me of the famous Hampton Coliseum in Virginia.

26th & 5th Ave [SW Corner] (1908 & 2012)

"Then-n-Now!"

Delmonico’s restaurant opened here in 1876. The popular chain eventually closed partly due to Prohibition. A Delmonico’s steak simply was not the same when served with a glass of water.  I couldn't replicate the angle or distance... But you can see that two buildings on the left and the one building on the right are still standing after 100+ years.

30th & 2nd Ave [NW Corner] (April 15, 2012)

The corner is a narrow, empty lot. We'll see what develops here. I could see this row of 5 buildings being at risk for demolition some day. Todaro Brothers is a great Italian Market.

Different look.
